Layne Mortensen

As an Executive Coach and Recruiting Consultant, Layne is passionate about helping individuals transform their careers by providing the tools to identify the best opportunities for them to grow and flourish and also helping companies and nonprofits innovate by recruiting the best talent into the right roles for them to succeed.

At Coppei Collective:  Layne provides professional coaching to onboard and transition employees into new roles. This helps employees learn and be successful in their new positions and in their careers. Layne also focuses on executive recruiting and staffing management. 

Experience:  Layne has over 20 years of experience in Executive Recruiting, Staffing Management and in Recruiting Program Development in both industry and non-profit environments. In the last few years Layne has taken his experience into becoming a Coach. His coaching includes job search coaching, career transition coaching and professional coaching. Layne’s passion is in helping individuals enhance their careers and lives and also help companies innovate by recruiting the best people into the right roles for them to succeed. He also understands the importance of diversity, equality and inclusion to build a better workplace and environment to help companies and employees prosper.

Education and Training:  Layne is a certified coach, CPCC through the Coaching Training Institute and has a Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis in Human Resources and Economics from Utah State University.

Trainings and Workshops Conducted: LinkedIn workshops focused on job search and career coaching. 

Leadership today:  Means realizing your leadership potential, planning and managing your development. It is important to have a clear sense of purpose as it sets the direction for strength as challenges arise. It is also important for a leader to have a mindset for the future to enhance skills as things change and evolve. To do this a leader needs to have increased attention on curiosity as curiosity fosters creativity and innovation.
